At Dunchurch Boughton C of E Infant Academy and Nursery, our Computing curriculum is rooted in our Christian vision, ‘Roots to Grow, Wings to Fly’, inspired by the Parable of the Mustard Seed. We aim to nurture children’s curiosity, creativity and confidence, providing them with the foundations to flourish in an ever-changing digital world. Beginning in nursery, children explore technology through purposeful play and practical experiences, building their knowledge and skills as they progress through school. Our curriculum develops children’s understanding of computer science, information technology and digital literacy, encouraging problem-solving, logical thinking and creativity. Online safety is woven throughout our curriculum, ensuring children learn to use technology safely, responsibly and respectfully. Through carefully sequenced learning opportunities, we give every child the roots to develop essential digital skills and the wings to explore, create and embrace future opportunities with confidence.
