Year 1 trip to Warwick Castle:

On Wednesday 22nd May, all of the year 1 children went on a very rainy trip to Warwick Castle. The children have been learning about castles in their 'Dungeons and Dragons' topic and didn't let the rain stop them from enjoying all of the different activities at the Castle. All of the children represented the school brilliantly and we are all really proud of them. Well done, year 1!

On Tuesday 19th of March the whole academy attended St Peter's Church for an Easter Service. It is the third time we have visited church this year. The children sang and a group of year 2 pupils led the service, retelling the Easter story and leading a prayer. Reverend Pat also spoke about what a special time of year it is and said a prayer and blessing.

Shared Learning Afternoon

Tuesday 5th of March saw the families of year 2 pupils join us in school for an afternoon of sewing. As part of their Design Technology learning the children designed African inspired creations and families attended to help turn those designs into reality. Many of our school Learning Behaviours were being demonstrated, such as team work, perseverance and determination. There was a calm, yet purposeful atmosphere and everyone who attended had a wonderful afternoon.

Golden Table

This week, we have started to have a ‘golden table’ in the school hall on a Fri-day. Each week, Mrs Leek (Lead Midday Supervisor) and her team will select a child from each class who has demonstrated excellent behvaiour, manners and the school values across the week. The names of the children selected will be shared with the school in Collective Worship on a Thursday. On the Friday lunchtime, the children will then have lunch with a member of staff on the golden table as a reward. This week’s children were delighted to be the first ones on the golden table!
