School Meals- including free school meals

Lunchtimes

During our lunchtimes we operate various different sittings between 11:45am and 1:00pm. For Reception, Year 1 & Year 2, hot school lunches are free. (You can find more information about this by clicking here).

If your child would rather have a packed lunch, we would ask you to provide only 3 healthy items. This supports our teaching of a healthy lifestyle and ensures the children still have plenty of time to eat their lunch and go out to play.

We provide water throughout the day, so there is no need to send in any additional drinks. If your child is having a packed lunch, please provide a named beaker for your child in their lunch box.

Fruit

We are fortunate to be part of the governments fruit scheme initiative. This enables all of our children to have a free piece of fruit every day at school, served as a mid morning snack.

Milk

Milk should be ordered by parents through Cool Milk. It is paid for half termly in advance. Milk is still free for children under 5 years of age, but it still needs to be ordered by a parent.

Free School Meals:

Children in nursery can be provided with a daily hot lunch, this can be booked and paid for at the same time as booking the nursery sessions. Children in reception, year 1 and year 2 qualify for Universal Free School Meals, with a free lunch each day until the end of year 2.

Some children will qualify for benefits related free school meals, which would mean the school would receive an amount of additional funding to support the child whilst in school. See the information below for more information.

Free School Meals - Warwickshire County Council

Unlock the benefits of free school meals through our animated video. A free school meal creates healthy eating habits, improves learning and behaviour, saves money and time, and helps schools receive additional funding. Parents and carers who may be eligible for free school meals are invited to visit the Warwickshire County Council website or reach out to their child's school for more information.
